Run for Money
This morning I ran the Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half Marathon. Well, I really didn't have a chance competing with the elite runners. This race is also the Road Runners Club of America's national championship, so didn't really too many of them, well I beat a couple of the ladies. However, I ended up coming in first out of Wood and Washington county. I won $200. That's pretty cool. So my prize list from competing consists of a rice cooker from a 8k in Korea, a Maglite from the triathlon this past July and now $200. I guess, I won't become a professional running any time soon.
Sadly though, I also ran the slowest time for a half marathon, but then again this course has been tougher than any course I've ever run. Not too bad for training for 5 weeks. I'll found out my chip time tomorrow, but my clock time was 1:23:21.

That's great! Can't complain about getting $200 for free! And people think we runners are crazy!
I ran a 14k in Sydney. It was a slow race, seeing as it was 65000 people running/walking from Sydney's Central Business District to Bondi Beach (which is beautiful!!!)... pretty cool! Lots of fun costumes too... guys in speedos, hehe ;)
Talk soon!!!
Hi Son,
Great job but then we knew that you were a great runner, in fact you're great at everything. So Proud of you. Keep up the good work/
Love,
Mom
Don't be so hard on yourself. Lots of people don't win anything, so no more pity party for you. Just keep trying, you are doing great.
