NYC Fun

Yesterday, I travelled to New York City to visit my post adoption social worker, ShinHye Kang. She's very cool and chic eventhough she's *ahem* older. I think we had fun while looking like tourists. We visited the Met and had a nice boat ride on "the Lake" in Central Park. While strolling around the park we found these two creative teenagers that were selling a cool service. Their uncle had purchased two Segways and now the two teenage boys were renting the Segways for a few of minutes for $2. I must admit that I was at first a little hesitant when I first rode that contraption, however, you pick it up quite fast. After, spending some time in Central Park, we went to the movie theater to watch Wedding Crashers. While I thought there were some great moments by Vince Vaughn and Own Wilson, I could tell by ShinHye's face that she was a little lost about the movie - too much slang in the dialogue.

Afterwards, we had a couple of beers near 70 St. at this shady looking bar. Inside, bras were strewn around the rafters and in one corner there was a tall dark brown wooden bear standing on its rear legs. I really didn't understand the decor, but the Brooklyn Lager and Stella Atrois was tasty, so it was all good. Then we scurried downtown (after we went the wrong way. Okay, I went the wrong way and dragged her with me. ) to have a nice meal at Mesa Grill.
